Change orders are where a subcontractor's margin is won or lost, and most of the pain is administrative: a T&M ticket that never got signed, a COR priced from the wrong rate sheet, backup that lives in three inboxes, or a PCO in the GC's system that never matched the sub's log. Clearstory's core idea is one shared record across the parties. The sub, the GC, and the owner see the same COR log, the same signed T&M tags, and the same status, so the reconciliation fight at the end of the job gets smaller.
The AI work maps to each handoff. The Change Notification agent drafts a CN from design change documents and identifies affected trades. The COR Pricing agent, in open beta since mid-2026, drafts priced line items from a voice note, takeoff, or estimate using the project's rates, with Ask, Plan, and Agent modes that control how much it changes on its own. COR Review and T&M Tag agents are the other two in the set. Pushes into Procore Change Events, Autodesk Forma PCOs, Vista, CMiC, and Sage keep internal forecasts aligned with what the other party sees.
