Snaptrude

Snaptrude is a cloud-based BIM platform, led by CEO Altaf Ganihar, that concentrates its AI on the conceptual and schematic phases of architectural design. Architects can upload an RFP or describe a project and a site, and Snaptrude's AI workflow runs site analysis, zoning research (FAR, height limits, setbacks), program generation, and dimensioned, story-assigned spaces, with standards such as ADA, IBC, and BOMA built in. The program lives in a spreadsheet view linked to the 3D model, so edits to areas update the design, and massing can be converted to BIM elements such as walls, floors, and roofs. Snaptrude is multiplayer in the browser and offers AI agents for specific tasks such as healthcare programming, space planning, and code research. It supports two-way workflows with Revit, including Revit 2026, through the Snaptrude Manager plugin, native Rhino .3dm import, SketchUp import, and export to Revit, Rhino, DWG, and IFC. A free tier is available, with paid individual, organization, and enterprise plans.

An architect uploads a healthcare RFP and gets a departmental program with areas and adjacencies to refine on the canvas. A design team tests three massing options against zoning setbacks and FAR, then converts the chosen one to BIM for schematic design. A firm exports a schematic Snaptrude model to Revit with room data intact so the documentation team starts from the approved design.
