The agent can run element counts, area and volume calculations, property lookups, missing-data checks, level breakdowns, space schedules, and relationship queries. Example tasks: "How many fire-rated doors are on level 3?" or "What is the total floor area of all office spaces?"

Does the agent actually read the model, or does it guess?

The agent reads the model. When an IFC file is indexed, Nomic extracts every entity into structured database tables. The agent writes SQL to query those tables and returns the actual numbers — not AI-generated summaries.

Can I query models exported from Revit?

Yes. Export an IFC from Revit (File > Export > IFC) and upload to Nomic. Revit-exported IFC files are fully supported — all property sets, quantities, levels, and rooms are extracted.

How large a model can Nomic handle?
